Origin: South Africa

Common name: climbing aloe, ciliated aloe

Aloe ciliaris is a semi-climbing aloe that relies on its environment to climb or crawls on the ground. It has evergreen foliage and flowers from November to early spring. The leaves wrap around the stem, and this sheath is ciliated, hence the name. We grow it either in the greenhouse or near the rock where there is no frost. Its stems can reach 1.50 m in length.
