Crassula coccinea is a very small shrub, 40 to 60 cm tall. The leaves are not very succulent, unlike the stem. Red blossoms appear in summer at the end of the stems, which should not be cut before they have bloomed. Reproduction is by stem cuttings or seedlings. The soil must be very well drained. The plant photographed is a spontaneous seedling.
