Description
Pelargonium sidioides is a small perennial, 25-30 centimetres high and as wide. The velvety, slightly fragrant leaves are heart-shaped and the flowers are almost black. Flowering takes place from late spring to summer. The roots are thick. Root extract is used to treat acute bronchitis, colds and rhinosinusitis, although its efficacy has not been fully demonstrated scientifically.
