Pelargonium quercifolium is a shrub about 1.50 m long and 0.70 m wide, grown in good conditions. The leaves are sticky and fragrant. The flowers are pink with darker macules appearing in spring and summer. In South Africa, it grows in small areas around Oudtshoorn and Willowmore at altitudes of between 400 m and 1000 m, with low rainfall spread throughout the year in rocky areas of sandstone, shale and limestone.
