Fascicularia bicolor ssp. canaliculata is a Chilean epiphytic plant in the pineapple family (Bromeliaceae). It grows as an epiphyte in temperate Valdivian forests. It grows slowly, forming a clump two or three meters wide in around twenty years. Evergreen foliage. The leaves, which are longer than the type, are edged with prickles. In our garden, it grows on the ground or in a rock hollow. Flowering takes place in autumn in Brittany: the leaves turn red before blooming and the three-petaled flowers are light blue.
