Crinum x powellii is a hybrid between Crinum bulbispermum and Crinum moorei in the Amaryllidaceae family. It's a big bulb that likes cool, well-drained soil. So it needs water in summer. The plant grows to around 1 metre in height at the time of its fragrant, nectariferous flowering, which takes place in late summer or early autumn. Some plants have white flowers. The bulbs are toxic.
