It can reach heights of 4 to 20 meters and widths of 4 to 10 meters. It grows rapidly, ours having been planted in 2000. It flowers in autumn and winter. It tolerates acid, neutral or alkaline soils, but needs to grow in poor, draining soil, and tolerates dry conditions well once established. It can grow in moderately moist soil, but always with good drainage. Its foliage is evergreen.
