Nerine sarniensis is a deciduous bulb of the Amaryllidaceae family native to South Africa. Flowering (3 weeks), usually red, takes place in autumn. Foliage dries in summer and reappears in autumn. The Guernsey lily should be grown in drained soil in sun or part-shade. It can also be grown in pots.
