Vegetation takes place from late November to June. Flowering takes place in May-June. July to November is the dormant period, with no vegetation. It is native to south-western South Africa, where it grows along roadsides, in disturbed areas or in wetlands in winter. When in flower, it reaches 40-70 cm in height. We grow it in greenhouses on the edge of the tarpaulin, where there’s moisture in winter, and in the garden. It should be grown in partial shade.
