Cannomois robusta is a bamboo-like plant in the Restionaceae family, native to South Africa. There are male and female plants. This species was originally included in Cannomois virgata. Now she's separated. It reaches heights of 1.5 to 2 meters. We only have two male plants in the garden. The seeds were collected in Bainskloof by Silverhill and sown in 2010 as Cannomois virgata. As the plant planted in 2011 exceeds 1.70 m without exceeding 2 m, we have reclassified it as Cannomois robusta.
