Protea burchellii is a South African shrub in the Proteaceae family. It is 1-2 meters high and 3 meters wide. It grows on mountain slopes at altitudes of between 100 m and 850 m in rich, well-drained soils. Our specimen was sown in 2009 with seeds from Paarl and planted in 2011 near the rock. There was no frost. We have no experience of this little cultivated plant.
