Hardiness: depending on the site, either -2°C or -8°C. It needs to be dry in winter. At home, it died at around -4°C without any particular protection against the rain.
Echinocereus pentalophus is a small bushy cactus with stems that run along the ground and reach a maximum height of 20 cm. Flowering takes place in summer. We grow it in a greenhouse, watering once a week from mid-March to June, then in October, and twice a week from July to September, depending on the weather in September. There is no watering from November to mid-March.
