Rhodophiala bifida is a bulbous member of the Amaryllidaceae family native to Argentina and Uruguay. Foliage appears in winter and flowers in autumn. When in bloom, the plant is around 40 cm to 70 cm high. The flower stalk bears between 2 and 6 flowers. This species is native to regions with wet winters and cool summers. It needs well-drained soil and full sun.
