In our region, it dies around -4°C without any particular protection against rain. Echinocereus pentalophus is a small, bushy cactus with stems that run along the ground and reach a maximum height of 20 cm. It flowers in summer. We grow it in an open-ground greenhouse, watering once a week from mid-March to June, then in October, and twice a week from July to September, depending on the weather in September. There is no watering from November to mid-March.
