Description
Puya spathacea is a terrestrial epiphytic plant, about 45 cm high and up to 1 m wide. It is a thorny plant to be planted on stony ground or on a rock in full sun. It flowers in late spring. We sowed our plant in 2008 from seeds collected by R. Hillman in Argentina, at 1150 m, Cordoba, Punilla, La Falda, n°1 RH2910a. We planted two specimens in 2011 and 2014.
