Die Bl\u00fctenst\u00e4nde sind kleiner (35-45 mm Durchmesser) als bei den anderen Protea-Arten. In ihrer Heimat w\u00e4chst sie in den Sandebenen der Westk\u00fcste zwischen dem Meer und 400 m H\u00f6he. Bei uns bl\u00fcht sie im Fr\u00fchjahr.
