Er kann bis zu 5 m hoch werden, aber bei uns wird er h\u00f6chstens 2-3 m hoch. Das Laub ist immergr\u00fcn. Es handelt sich um eine Pflanze, die entweder in sklerophylischen oder feuchten tropischen W\u00e4ldern vorkommt. Die Bl\u00e4tter sind d\u00fcnn und lang (1-2 cm breit, 30-50 cm lang).
